'Don't Allow Greedy and Stomach Politicians to use you'

Youth in the country have been advised not allow themselves to be used by greedy and stomach politicians in the country to ruin the peace of the country as the country is preparing for general elections in December.
Rev Fr Anthony Anomah, Rector of Spiritan  University College at Ejisu in the Ejisu Juaben Municipality, made the advice at the 7th Graduation ceremony of the university at the weekend at Ejisu.
He said it was time for Ghanaian youth to desist from politicians who would use use them to achieve their personal interest which could result in destroying the country's peace and stability.
He entreated them to vote for people who would put the good of the nation above selfish interest, when they are in power.
He described election as a noble and sacred exercise, however it had been corrupted in Ghana and other parts of the world of late.
' Election has become the forum for condemnation, slander, insults and propaganda. Instead of using it to choose good leaders who have the interest of the nation at heart, it has become the citadel for thieves and lawlessness', he explained.
Rev Fr. Anomah, called on the graduands to use the knowledge, skills and attitudes they had acquired during their studies to make positive and significant impact in society especially during this year's election.
He urged them to take initiatives and not to wait for jobs to be created for them rather they should be bold , innovative , daring and break the grounds by starting something small on their own.
Sixty-nine(69) students were graduated and awarded with 1st degrees and diploma certificates.
The programs they offered were Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, B.Sc.Economics and Finance, B.Sc. Finance and Management, B.A. Sociology and Economics, B.A. Philosophy and Social Science and Diploma in Philosophy and Religious Studies.
Miss Abigail Baffour Gyau, first class honours holder in B.Sc. Business Administration with banking and Finance option, thanked all those who encouraged and supported during their four years program in the university.
She hoped that the training they had gone through in the Spiritan University College had prepared them to meet the realities in the world market.
