SCHOOL BOARD INSTITUTES SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION FOR STUDENTS
Nsuta (Ash) The Board of Governors of the Nsutaman
Catholic Senior High School has instituted a scholarship foundation scheme for
the needy but brilliant students in the school.
Mrs. Felicia Acheampong, Headmistress of Nsutaman
Catholic Senior High School, who disclosed this to the media on Tuesday at
Nsuta in the Ashanti Region commended the members of the board particularly Dr. K.K. Sarpong, Chairman of the Board for
the initiative.
Mrs. Acheampong, explained that the scheme was instituted
to offer scholarship to cover all the government approved fee for Day Students
and it was a three year duration scholarship but depended on the academic
performance of beneficiary.
She said that the scheme aimed to encourage young ones in
the area to have quality secondary education and also to motivate them to attend
the school.
She stated that with the help of the Board Chairman the
foundation had been able to mobilise GHC 125, 000.00 within a year and added
that 55 students had already benefited from the scholarship scheme.
Mrs. Acheampong explained that out of the 55 beneficiaries,
35 were form one students while the remaining were form two and form three students.
She said that 50 of the beneficiaries were from the Sekyere
Central District where the school is located.
She advised the beneficiary students to take their
studies serious so as to continue enjoying the scholarship.
